Dog Grooming

I have been grooming dogs since 1998 and became City & Guilds qualified in June 2007.
I can groom your dog to breed standard or to a style that best suits your dog and lifestyle. Your dog’s needs and well-being are my main priority throughout their grooming experience with me.
My behaviour and temperament training comes into use while I groom. The use of toys and treats will help ensure your dogs experience is as pleasurable and positive as possible. Regular breaks will be given to your dog. Please advise me if your dog has any dietary requirements or has ongoing training with toys. The shampoos I use are all natural and have been chosen for their aromatherapy qualities to ensure a calming and relaxing experience for your dog. To complete this calm and relaxed atmosphere the dogs are treated to a selection of classical music known for their therapeutic qualities.
Please tell me if your dog has a recent injury or medical condition so that I can be aware whilst handling your dog. It is unwise for a dog with stitches to be bathed.
Ears will be cleaned and nails will be trimmed if I feel they are needed. If your dog is on medication for an ear infection, you will need to inform me before I groom your dog.
I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire before you leave your dog with me. This will ensure I groom your dog to your specification.

To Whom It May Concern:
I used A Pawsonal Touch Dog Grooming Service for the first time in May when I took my Border Terrier, Thistle to be hand-stripped. Up until this point, Thistle had only ever been brushed at home and at times this could prove difficult, as she would not always sit still for long periods of time in order to be brushed. As a result of this, I was naturally nervous about taking her to an unfamiliar place to be groomed. I also felt uneasy about what would happen if Thistle were to come into contact with either of Zoë’s dogs, as she would sometimes misbehave around dogs she doesn’t know. As it turned out these fears were unfounded. Thistle was kept away from the other dogs and was allowed plenty of time to get used to her surroundings before the grooming process began. Having finished grooming Thistle, Zoë even delivered her back home. The results were very impressive, Thistle looked years younger. After this, it was a lot easier to keep her looking tidy. I would certainly consider using Zoë’s services again in future.
