Dog Sitting
 
The benefits of having a dog sitter in your own home will help reduce the stress your dog goes through when being taken to a boarding kennel.
Many dogs become very stressed when taken to such a different environment. This is especially distressing for old and young dogs alike and particularly if your dog is unwell, no matter how friendly and caring the staff may be.
Your dog remains in the comfort of his/her own home, the security of a known environment making the separation from you more bearable.
I would like to join you on at least one walk to get to know your dog and assess their temperament out and about.
I will ask you to fill out a detailed questionnaire prior to your departure and discuss carefully with you the routine your dog is used to.
This questionnaire is essential for me to understand what is and isn’t acceptable behaviour from your dog as well as the house rules you have in place. This will ensure that the boundaries you have instilled remain in place and will eliminate confusion for your dog.
Not only will you have peace of mind that your dog is being cared for in your home but you will also have someone caring for your home whilst you are away. I am happy to care for any other pets you may have as well as ensure your plants are watered regularly.
If you wish me to contact you on a regular basis whilst you are away then this too will be discussed along with times when calls can be made in an emergency.
